National Cancer Survivors Day is the one time each year when cancer-related organizations are heard with one voice. The number of official registered events continues to grow, with hundreds of communities and thousands of survivors participating each year on the first Sunday in June.

NCSD is presented worldwide by the non-profit National Cancer Survivors Day Foundation, which administers the program on behalf of the cancer community. NCSD is sponsored nationally with help from people like YOU (all sponsorship donations are tax-deductible as charitable contributions).

Using the NCSD Celebration Planning Guide and other materials from the Foundation, including buttons, balloons and other official merchandise, communities throughout the United States, Canada, and other participating countries will organize their local NCSD events as part of the overall annual celebration, then celebrate simultaneously on the first Sunday in June.

The Foundation authorizes the use of the copyrighted NCSD name and logo to participating organizations through an event registration process. The logo marks each local event as an "official event" of National Cancer Survivors Day.

To support and tie together the local events taking place across the country, the Foundation plans and executes a national publicity campaign to promote National Cancer Survivors Day and to recognize its sponsors.

National Cancer Survivors Day continues to be formally recognized by The White House and the National Cancer Institute.
